A kill like an Nyala bull will provide this pride with good sustenaince. But a kill can also be a dangerous place for those feasting. The heavy smell of blood and stomach contents, as well as the noise of the feeding and crunching of bones may disguide the tell tale signs of danger approaching. When the mothers feed with their cubs like this, it is important to maintain vigilant for the approach of hyena clans and rival prides. The dinner table is sometimes the place where cubs, and adults, loose their lives. | ||
