We came across the old 3:4 female leopard hunting a pack of banded mongoose at Londolozi. Nearing the end of her life she wasn't in the best of condition and desperately needed to feed. She skillfully chased one down, and then, ever the opportunist, grabbed another before the pack could retreat to the safety of their den. The commotion attracted the attention of some nearby hyenas, but she managed to escape to the safety of the tress where she could enjoy her well earned meal in peace. | ||
