We recently had the privilege of watching a very important part of a young cheetah’s life: learning to kill. The mother cheetah had caught a young impala ram and took it back to her two sub adult kittens. She did not kill the impala but instead released it near the two kittens. The impala attempted to get away but the young cheetahs' instinct took over and they gave chase. In the beginning they were unsure of what to do with their prize and the impala kept escaping but eventually the impala was killed and eaten.
