Alfie grew up on a farm in Hazyview, very close to the Kruger National Park. His passion for the bush started at a young age. His parents have always been keen enthusiasts of the African bush, working as Honorary Rangers in the Kruger. Following in his parents’ footsteps, Alfie spent his weekends and holidays exploring the Kruger. A high achiever from an early age, he became the first Junior Honorary Ranger for the Lowveld Region when he was 16. After high school, Alfie travelled to North America for a year. Not finding much African wildlife on his travels, he returned to South Africa to continue pursuing his dream. In 2006 he joined &Beyond&
