After finishing my Nature Conservation Diploma at NMMU (Saasveld - George Campus), I headed back to the Limpopo area to find my first job. I was employed as an ecologist on a small Eco-Estate outside of Warmbaths (Bela-Bela) where I did farm management, road maintenance, running the bushcamp, fence patrols, animal counts etc. A good start to work in the bush. I then moved more North to Nylstroom to work as an educator at an Environmental Education Center. This was great fun and the kiddies kept us busy busy. I got an opportunity to work near Hoedspruit as a research assistant and volunteer coordinator and took it head on. It was amazing working with people from all over the world and having the best time in the Lowveld. After guiding in Pilanesberg National Park for a few months I made my way closer to home and was lucky enough to find a job at Shamwari Game Reserve which is a dream come true! It has been an awesome experience so far and I'm looking forward to the future here a
