About Anton

Guiding History

I have guided in the Mpumalanga/Limpopo regions of South Africa for around 8years now, showing guests the unmistakable beauty of the hills of Lydenburg as well as the 'big five' sightings in Limpopo in areas such as Sabi Sands and the Kruger national Park. For most of these years I was also combined with guiding work with helping run a leopard research project. The main focus of this project was to reduce the conflict between farmers and leopards/ brown hyenas in non protected areas. This gave me a lot of enjoyable experiences such as helping to trap and collar with wildlife capture expert Dairen Simpson from Nat Geo's The Trapper as well as an insight into these animals behaviours and their sensitivity to the changing farming techniques of man in the area.
